I’m not a fan of life coaching slogans on the wall, but I think this is a good “Gruk”! I have the same one in my kitchen to remind me of what’s important in life (and to remind me – as a scatterbrain – of my to-dos). Now, listen to what the wise six-legged cat has to say!<\/p>\n

*Piet Hein (December 16, 1905 – April 17, 1996) was a Danish universal genius. He was a scientist, mathematician, inventor, designer, author and poet who often wrote under the Old Norse pseudonym “kumbel” (gravestone). His short poems, known as “grooks” (Danish: “gruks”), first appeared in the Danish daily newspaper “Politiken” under the pseudonym “Kumbel Kumbell” shortly after the Nazi occupation in April 1940. By the way: he is said to have been a direct descendant of the historically important Dutch pirate of the same name.<\/span>
