Holzäpfel / Herbert Hirche “DHS 20” Teak chest of drawers / Mid Century Modern Design / Bauhaus / 1950s

#44986

Holzäpfel, Germany (west), chest of drawers from the “DHS 20” series, designed by Bauhaus student Herbert Hirche, 1954-1955. Very timeless design. A perfect example of German Mid Century Modernism. Anthracite / dark gray lacquered legs and handles. Teak veneer, restored. Interior: maple (veneer and solid parts). Some small touched up spots. All outer wooden surfaces sanded and sealed in a satin matte hard oil finish. Pleasantly smooth haptics. Dimensions: 70 x 60 x 40 cm (height, width, depth). Very good condition. No defects. Only slight signs of use. See photos. Colors may vary as each device/display displays colors differently.

The sideboard shown in the last three photos is not part of this offer and can be purchased separately. As all the cabinets in this range are modular, they can be perfectly combined / slid into each other. In this way, a long sideboard is created from a chest of drawers and a sliding-door cabinet.

Due to its size, this piece must be transported by a forwarding agent. The transportation costs vary depending on the destination and are not included in the purchase price. If you need a transportation quote, please contact me via the “Inquiry” button before purchasing.
