Getama / Hans Wegner “GE 258” couch / daybed / guest bed / oak / Mid Century Danish Modern Design / 1950s / 1960s

#99951

2.800,00

Getama “GE 258”, design: Hans Wegner, 1954, Denmark. Early version in oak. High quality workmanship. Very elaborately restored. All wooden surfaces sanded and sealed with hard oil. Pleasantly smooth satin-matte feel. New high-density cold foam in the seat / reclining surface and backrest. High-quality, robust upholstery fabric from Camira Fabrics. Unusual: The back (limba-wood) has also been sanded and color-matched / sealed with a hard oil. This means that the couch can also be placed freely in the room (which it was not actually intended for). Very practical: the hinged storage space in which a bed sheet and/or bed spread can be stored. This automatically widens the lying surface into a daybed / guest bed. Overall dimensions: approx. 77 x 195 x 87 cm (height, width, depth). Seat height: approx. 45cm, depth of the lying surface when unfolded: approx. 85cm.
No defects. Only minimal signs of use. See photos. Colors may vary as each device/display displays colors differently.
