Holzäpfel / Herbert Hirche „DHS 20“ teak sideboard / credenza / Mid Century Modern Design / Bauhaus / 1950s

Holzäpfel, Germany (west), sideboard with sliding doors from the “DHS 20” series, designed by Bauhaus student Herbert Hirche, 1954-1955. Very timeless design. A perfect example of German Mid Century Modernism. Anthracite / dark gray lacquered legs and handles. Teak veneer, restored. A few touched up areas. All outer wooden surfaces sanded and sealed in a satin matte hard oil finish. Pleasantly smooth haptics. Dimensions: 70 x 120 x 40cm (height, width, depth). Interior dimensions: approx. 48 x 116 x 35cm. Inside: Maple wood (veneer and solid parts). Removable and height-adjustable shelf. Very good condition. No defects. Only slight signs of use. See photos. Colors may vary as each device/display displays colors differently.

The chest of drawers shown in the last three photos is not part of this offer and can be purchased separately. As all the cabinets in this range are modular, they can be perfectly combined / pushed into each other. This creates a long sideboard from a chest of drawers and a sliding-door cabinet.
